Excursion trip on Kaas Plateau


 
Department of Botany conduct a one day excursion trip on "Kaas Plateau" for all B. Sc. students on dated 06/10/2023 to inculcate knowledge about endangered, endemic plant species of Kaas plateau as well as to know the conservation strategies of medicinal plants. Student come to know about the flowering season. The trip was lead by Mr. Mohite S. A. Head Department of Botany and Mr. Sabale  R. R. Senior professor of Botany. All B. Sc. students were actively participated in Kaas trip. The study trip was arranged by Dr. Chavan Y. C., Ms. Bhosale A. R. and Ms. Dhurpe U. S. Non teaching staff Mr. Nadaf V. R., Mr. Thite S. N. and Jagadale K. D. also remain present for the excursion trip.




Mr. Mohite sir were enlighten the students about the different flora of the Kaas pleatue and Mr. Sabale sir thoughted How to conserve the Kaas plateue? Mr. Mohite S. A.  sir has been felicitate by the Forest Department and Executive Committee for their continuous efforts to save the Kaas pleatue.

Visit to Hrushikesh Agro. at Padali

                                       

  Department of Botany visited to Hrushikesh Agro. forming on dated 30/12/2023 with B. Sc. I and B. Sc. II. student to know about the agricultural farming. The trip was lead by Dr. Chavan Y. R., Aditi Bhosale. Non teaching staff Mr. Nadaf V. R., Mr. Thite S. N. and Jagadale K. D. were also attended the field visit.




 Hrishikesh has redefined agriculture, yielding millions annually through the cultivation of crops like Aloe vera, Ginger, Amla, Guava, Lemon grass, and more. His mastery spans from crop nurturing and harvesting to adept product manufacturing and marketing. Beyond agricultural acumen, Hrishikesh possesses extensive prowess in producing and vending various yields.

                    Historical Ajinkyatara Conservation Activity


Under "Aajadika Amrut Mahotsav" the Department of Botany and Department of History (One Day Historical Arms Exhibition), Government of Maharashtra Department of Cultural Affairs Directorate of Archeology and Museum Shri Chht. Shivaji Maharaj Museum Satara jointly organized implemented Cleanliness campaign at Ajinkyata fort Satara. B. A. and B. Sc. students were actively participated in this event. The main aim of this campaign is to clean the fort as well as to eradicate the harmful plants which are dangerous to fort. to eradicate the plants some chemicals are injected into roots of plats which grown on the fort wall. The primary attention of this monument is to conserve the fort and not to harm any historical monument. Mr. Mohite S. A. HOD, Mr. Sabale R. R. and the other teaching and non-teaching faculty were actively participated in the campaign.
